My intro to let you know...

Good morning/afternoon/evening, likely early morning if you find yourself reading this. I'll start with a quick introduction or rather the "why" behind this. (Do I owe my reader this, if I'm the only reader, probably not) I've always had an enjoyment and a passion for writing, that goes back to my childhood. Furthermore, I'm a pretty opinionated person and this gives me a medium to channel my focus and my energies into something meaningful to me. I stress meaningful to me, because for some this blog will just be a series of asinine opinions that many have little or no interest in. For instance, if you don't like films, movies, (I realize this excludes no one, continue), hip hop music, sports coverage with a bias towards basketball and football, you don't like reading or simply don't like me in general - this is likely not the blog for you.

With that mini disclaimer out of the way we can move on... My name is Jared Budd, I'm a 25 year old supply teaching/waiter. Currently I am aspiring to land a contract in the education field and in doing so, pour some knowledge into the beakers of tomorrow. (If you're reading this you probably already knew most of that drivel.) In the meantime I have some extra time and this is how I'll spend it, dribbling out a series of nonsensical words and dressing them up as discourse. I've long held the belief that one of the best jobs would be to write your own opinions on things(sports, movies, music), sounds simple enough, so I wanted to find out.

In the coming weeks, I will (along with a few guest writers, I hope) attempt to write a series of columns. reviews, previews, top 10s and other things of interest to me. Again this is as much a therapeutic undertaking as it is an entertaining one. Mostly I'll be shooting the breeze about things that me and my roommate Stru scoff about on a nightly basis. Among these things will be movies, albums, singles, restaurants, professional athletes and intriguing events of the day. Your comments are always welcomed and appreciated, meh. I will try to keep things contextually relevant and there will also be elements of regional coverage but mainly it will serve as a melting pot of ideas as I try and figure this world around out, or something like that.

Looking forward to posting a March Madness preview in the next couple of hours! This is quite possibly the most exciting sporting weekend of the year!

'Til then, in the words of P Collins: "you'll be in my heart".
