Been working on a blog all week and it's still not quite ready to post so I'll post these picks before it's too late, expect the rest of the blog tomorrow.
Picks of the Week: After going 3-0 with my picks last week (4-0 if you include the OVER bet I alluded to in my pick for Carolina over Tampa Bay)
New England over Washington - I'll lay the points with the Pats travelling to Washington this week. The Redskins aren't exactly a juggernaut at home and I'm betting the loss of one of their best pass catchers (Fred Davis) and their best offensive lineman means they won't find the points to keep pace with the Pats this week. Beyond that I hope Gronkowski carries DeAngelo Hall all the way down the field on his back. (NE -8)
Miami over Philadelphia - I'll gladly take the Fins at home to cover a spread of less than a field goal against the disappointing Eagles. Miami has been red hot of late and are still not getting the credit they deserve after starting out 0-7. The Eagles on the other hand continue to be over valued based on the players on the team rather than the teams performance. Of course I've rode the Eagles to losses week after week so go figure that they will likely pull off the 'upset' this week rather than theoretically being 'upset'.(Miami -3)
Denver over Chicago - Who are the 5 greatest quarterbacks of all time? Tebow, Tebow, Tebow, Tebow, and Tebow. Cause he spits hot fire, er, wins football games. (Den -3.5)
San Francisco over Arizona - I don't think Arizona is a terrible squad but I think San Fran is a truly elite defence and they continue to prove themselves as a safe bet, covering the spread week after week. I think Kevin Kolb gets exposed this week and the Cards have their answer as to whether we was worth all that money they sent his way this past off season. San Fran continues to take it to the teams it should beat and I expect them to cover this minuscule spread for a 10-2 vs a 4-7 squad. (SF -3.5)
Yeah that's 4 favourites, so what, ya wanna fight about it? Remember WWTD.
